Welcome to the CBI contacts/resource
site, on this page you will find direct contact information
for all the faculty and staff within the CBI. It is important
to recognize the CBI does not work as a traditional core, but
prides itself on being a leading center in the application
of cellular imaging from the single molecule to the whole animal.
Because of this we expect that if you are a new user of the
center you will contact the center director (Simon Watkins)
directly at swatkins@pitt.edu.
He can establish interactions with you and if relevant your
advisor/mentor/principal investigator. Subsequently, you will
be directed to a specific contact person who will be your primary
contact for the project. If you are an established user interested
in starting a new project or expanding an existing project,
discuss it with your primary contact. In each case, you should
feel free to contact the director at any time, if you have
problems using the services and resources offered by the center. |

Sean is responsible
for all the imaging in the CBI which involves fixed preparations.
This includes histology, confocal microscopy, fluorescence
microscopy and computer aided quantitation. If you have not
used the CBI previously contact the director first. Contact
Sean for any experiments involving light microscopy methods
and he will direct you to the appropriate staff member.
